Regional Transportation Advisory Committee Recommendation to Advocate on Transit Funding
Recommendation
The Regional Transportation Advisory Committee recommends the Capital Regional District Transportation Committee recommends to the Capital Regional District Board:
1. That the Capital Regional District (CRD) Board advocate to the Province of British Columbia to collaborate with the CRD to:
i. Provide stable, multi-year transit funding to maintain existing service levels and support expansion aligned with regional transportation priorities; and
ii. Explore new and expanded funding tools that support implementation of the regional multimodal transportation system as part of regional transportation governance improvements.
