Impact of View Royal Changing Participation Level from Tier 1 to Tier 2 in the Arts Development Service
Recommendation
[At the May 27, 2026 Arts Commission meeting, the Commission discussed and carried Alternative 2 in the staff report as follows:]
The Arts Commission recommends to the Capital Regional District Board:
That View Royal’s request for a change in its membership level to Tier 2 be denied, due to financial impacts to other participants and lack of alignment with existing CRD plans and strategies.
