Build Communities Strong Fund Grant Applications

 

Recommendation

That the Capital Regional District Board supports the following five project’s application submissions and commits to the applicant cost-share contribution. Staff are instructed to apply for, negotiate, and if successful, enter into an agreement and do all such things necessary for accepting grant funds and overseeing grant management, including any cost overruns for the proposed projects as below.

 

Direct Delivery Stream (submitted)

1. Regional Trestles Renewal, Trails Widening and Lighting Project - Section A. Safety, capacity and accessibility upgrades to approximately 3.5 kilometers of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail in Victoria, British Columbia between Selkirk Trestle and Tillicum Road

2. Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades Project - Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor - Capital Regional District, Maliview Sewer Service, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

3. Lyall Harbour Boot Cove Water Local Service Upgrades and Money Lake Dam Safety Improvements Project
